Snowline Cabin #13 - Welcome to The Big Rock Lodge, An Architectural Gem! Pet Friendly with Wi-Fi!
This custom octagonal 3-story, 2+ bedroom, 2-bath family vacation home perched on top of a knoll is an architectural gem with lots of light and all of the bells and whistles! The ground floor entryway features ceramic tile floors with a freestanding gas fireplace and an ad-hoc game room, complete with a ping pong table and plenty of space to store your gear—winter and summer. Ascending the stairwell brings you to the main floor, featuring the master bedroom with a king-sized bed and a large full-length closet. Step into the generous living room/dining room area with hardwood floors, a beautiful gas fireplace to cozy up to, a large screen monitor with wifi, a hide-a-bed, and three sides of windows that bring in lots of natural sunlight—perfect for family entertaining. The unique, fully equipped galley-style kitchen features ceramic tile floors and countertops, a separate stove top and oven, as well as a built-in microwave oven. Also included in the kitchen is a laundry cubby with a full-size washer and dryer. Finally, the main floor also includes one large full bath. Step up to the third floor, and you’ll discover a carpeted bonus room/loft with a full-sized futon and a DVD/VHS/monitor—perfect for the kids—a large bath, and a unique pine-lined bedroom with 1-queen-sized bed. Just outside the main floor living room is a partial wraparound deck for winding down the day while gazing at the stars, and just out back is a private 6-person outdoor hot tub—perfect for relaxing after a day of some of the best skiing and hiking anywhere! This beautiful and pet-friendly (2-PET MAXIMUM, No Exceptions) monitored family vacation property will sleep 4 to 8-persons (ENFORCED Maximum Occupancy!).

OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES:

**Wi-Fi service is now available in our area and provided FREE OF CHARGE for Guest use. Having said this, the service is currently subject to failure, as the service provider is in the process of dialing everything in. Intermittent service failures are a circumstance that is beyond our control, and no sleeping accommodation refunds are provided if the FREE Wi-Fi SERVICE fails to function correctly.

**This cabin is a monitored family vacation home, not a party house. In this regard, Guests who choose to ignore house rules are subject to immediate eviction with complete forfeiture of all rental monies paid (per the written Guest Rental Agreement). Guests are expected to always treat this private residence with the utmost respect, as well as to be mindful of neighboring residences and respect the privacy of neighboring homeowners by not disturbing them at any time. Guests are directly responsible for their invitee’s actions. They should be well advised to provide directions and discuss house rules in advance with other family members who may be arriving separately. Guests seeking party house accommodations are advised to seek such accommodations via a different provider.

Cancellation Policy

For regular reservations, if Cancelation is received a minimum of 21 days before our Guest’s scheduled arrival date, a Cancelation Fee in the amount of Sixty-Five Dollars ($65.00) or 8% (whichever amount is greater) shall be withheld from the Advanced Reservation Payment. The remaining money shall be credited to the guest. If Cancelation is received twenty (20) through fifteen (15) days before our Guest’s scheduled date of arrival, the Advanced Reservation Payment shall be forfeited by the Guest unless the vacation property can be re-booked for the entire duration, in which case a Cancelation Fee in the amount of Sixty-Five Dollars ($65.00) or 8% (whichever amount is greater) shall be withheld. The remaining balance shall be credited back to the Guest. Guest further acknowledges that, for regular reservations, if Cancelation is received fourteen (14) days or less before our Guest’s scheduled date of arrival, Guest shall forfeit all rental monies unless the vacation property can be re-booked for the entire duration, in which case a Cancelation Fee in the amount of Sixty-Five Dollars ($65.00) or 8% (whichever amount is greater) shall be withheld from the rental monies. The remaining funds shall be credited back to the Guest.
For holiday reservations commencing on or after December 15th through January 3rd, if Cancelation is received before November 15th, a Cancelation Fee in the amount of Sixty-Five Dollars ($65.00) or 8% (whichever amount is greater) shall be withheld from the Advanced Reservation Payment. The remaining money shall be credited to the guest. For holiday reservations beginning on or after December 15th through January 3rd, if Cancelation is received on or after November 16th but before December 1st, the Guest shall forfeit the Advance Reservation Payment unless the vacation property can be re-booked for the entire duration, in which case a Cancelation Fee in the amount of Sixty-Five Dollars ($65.00) or 8% (whichever amount is greater) shall be withheld from the Advance Reservation Payment. The remaining money shall be credited to the guest. For holiday reservations commencing on or after December 15th through January 1st, if Cancelation is received on or after December 1st, the Guest shall forfeit all rental monies, unless the vacation property can be re-booked for the entire duration, in which case a Sixty-Five Dollar ($65.00) or 8% (whichever amount is greater) Cancelation Fee shall be withheld from the rental monies. The remaining funds shall be credited back to the Guest.
For legal and accounting purposes, the person placing the reservation must be the same as the credit/debit card holder. This person is considered to be the Guest. All other persons involved with the rental occasion are considered the Guest’s invitees. All reservations, cancelation, and damage policies will be discussed with the Guest, not the Guest’s invitees. This policy is in place to ensure your reservation's security and protect against potential fraud.

Deposit Policy

An Advance Reservation Payment equal to 50% of the total cost, including tax, is required to reserve a vacation property. For regular reservations, the remaining balance is due 14 days before the Guest’s scheduled arrival date and is automatically debited to the Guest’s credit/debit card on the scheduled due date. For holiday reservations commencing on December 15th through January 1st, the remaining balance is due in full and automatically debited to our Guest’s credit/debit card on December 1st.

really nice and spacious airbnb. house was exactly as described.
check in can be tough if arriving later in the evening as there is little receptionand check in for keys is actually 15 mins from the house.
all this is explained in the check in manual so just make sure to read that thoroughly first.
Otherwise, perfect stay if your riding Mt.baker

Mt. Baker Lodging is great! House was clean and communication was clear. There were some earlier comments about spotty internet, but the WiFi was fine even for 8 people on phones. No cell service though.

I’d also recommend bringing extra towels, especially if you don’t want to reuse bath/hottub towels.

Beautiful home. Internet and cell service is touchy but they are very upfront about that.

Cabin 13 was very spacious, our group has 8 people living here for 2nights and everyone had a wonderful time. During the day it was absolutely beautiful, and at night it was quiet and peaceful. It was a perfect getaway. But we had minor issues, please re-wash pots, plates and utensils before uses. The pans and pots still felt greasy and things were still left on certain cooking utensils. And lastly, if your a party of 8 you’re only gonna get 8 towels. Through your whole stay. But non the less the stay did get the job done I’ll recommend coming back here again.

It’s in the wilderness and it’s amazing. Great place to stay if you’re doing a hiking summer trip. Neighborhood has rec activities. House is clean, lots of things to do at the house, hot tub is amazing.

Awesome mountain home! Definitely dated but very functional. We look forward to returning. Thank you for having a Mount Baker map in the home because we were not prepared for the ranger station to still be closed.
- We loved the giant deck with foothill views. Grilled both nights.
- Beds were very comfortable with good pillow options.
- Be aware there are only two private bedrooms; other sleeping spaces are open.
- WiFi worked great to run the Roku TV. Didn’t utilize WiFi for anything other than basic phone apps/social media.
- If you come, bring food with you from Nugents Corner. Also bring a map of the area because there is NO CELL SERVICE.

My guests and I loved this place. It was super comfy and spacious. The ping pong table and hot tub especially were a big hit. Honestly I wish I had booked a stay longer than a weekend. The hosts were great communicators and overall the space just felt like a home which I liked.
